Rome Bicycle at Golden Hour

Golden hour light slants through the narrow gap between two ochre stucco buildings in Trastevere, illuminating a chaotic cluster of domestic life. A faded blue bicycle leans against a sun-warmed stone wall, its handlebars tangled with a wicker basket overflowing with freshly harvested figs and leafy greens. Above, lines of laundry crisscross the sky, held taut by wooden pins that snap slightly in the evening breeze. Below, a patterned rug hangs from a second-story window, vibrating with the movement of the air, while a terracotta pot sits precariously on the sill, spilling trailing ivy onto the pavement.
