A wrought-iron balcony railing in the Casco Viejo frames a view of the Nervión river, where the summer evening light casts long, sharp shadows across the whitewashed walls of adjacent buildings. On the rough stone ledge, a pair of stainless steel kitchen tongs rests casually next to a plastic hose nozzle, abandoned after watering the potted geraniums. Below, the dark water reflects the fading amber sky, while a chess clock sits open on a nearby table, its faces catching the last direct sunlight. A quiet domestic pause, blending the industrial texture of the tools with the organic flow of the river and the historic architecture of the old town.
