Ripe Pomegranate in Granada

One ripe pomegranate rests on a rough terracotta tile ledge, its deep red skin catching the warm late afternoon sun in Granada. The fruit sits beside a small cluster of green basil leaves that have been freshly harvested from a nearby window box garden. Soft shadows stretch across the textured surface of the tiles, highlighting the subtle imperfections in the baked clay. The bright color of the fruit contrasts sharply with the earthy tones of the surrounding architecture.
