The warm amber light of a Chicago sunset spills across a busy sidewalk in Pilsen, illuminating a local corner market where a white dog stands patiently beside a customer examining produce. In the immediate foreground, a weathered wooden crate holds several bulbs of garlic and a woven basket tray, their textures highlighted by the low-angle sun. Behind the main action, the store's fogged window glass reflects the street traffic and neon signs, creating a layered depth that separates the intimate shop front from the urban environment. A glass tumbler filled with ice water sits on the edge of the display counter, condensation dripping down its side as a hand reaches in to adjust the garlic bulbs.
