Warm candlelight glows against rough plaster walls inside a narrow backstage corridor in Medina. Felt hats in deep charcoal and indigo rest atop open walnut drawers, their surfaces catching soft reflections from the flickering flame. Folded knits in cream and earth tones lie in neat stacks beside the wood, their texture highlighted by the low, directional light. The predawn darkness presses against the high ceiling, while the warm amber glow pools on the stone floor, creating a contrast between shadow and illumination. Dust motes hang suspended in the light beams, and the grain of the aged wood is sharp against the softness of the wool. One shadow stretches long across the threshold.
