Portuguese Podengo in Vientiane Garden Morning Light

A Portuguese Podengo stands alert on a worn concrete slab at the edge of a Vientiane garden, its coarse tan and white coat catching the soft glow of early morning. The dog's distinctive prick ears stand erect against a backdrop of blurred green foliage and distant trees, while its sharp muzzle points forward with quiet focus. Reflected light from a nearby water feature washes over the scene, highlighting the texture of the animal's fur and the rough surface of the pavement. A shallow depth of field isolates the dog from the soft, uncluttered background where dramatic clouds gather above the horizon. The cool season air is suggested by the crisp clarity of the light and the dry, leafy ground cover scattered near the garden border.
