Under the flat, diffused glare of noon, a narrow Osaka alleyway opens onto a modest residential porch where a weathered wooden counter serves as an impromptu workspace. A white ceramic tea towel is draped casually over the edge, catching the soft light, while a simple stoneware crock sits nearby, its matte surface against the smooth, glazed tile of the house wall. Behind the counter, a partially visible figure in a faded apron tends to a small task, their hands obscured by the depth of the frame.
