Porcelain Factory Rows of Drying Plates Porto
Rows of white porcelain plates stand upright on metal racks inside a bright machine shop near Porto. Tropical midmorning light floods the space, illuminating the humid air thick with moisture from the recent monsoon rain. The smooth, glazed surfaces of the plates reflect the high windows, while the concrete floor shows dark patches where water has pooled. Rust speckles the lower edges of the steel shelving, against the pristine curves of the ceramic ware.
