Pleated Skirts Backstage Jaisalmer Morning Light

Warm amber light falls through sheer curtains, illuminating a metal garment rack lined with pleated skirts in deep ochre, rust, and saffron hues. The fabric folds catch the sun, creating sharp contrasts against the shadowed corridor walls of rough-hewn sandstone. Behind the rack, two large industrial fans stand still, their metal grilles reflecting the dust motes suspended in the air. The skirts hang in rhythmic rows, their stiff pleats holding geometric shadows that stretch across the floor. To the right, the edge of a heavy wooden door frame cuts into the view, at the base of the scene in a specific backstage space. The light highlights the texture of the woven fabric against the cool, dusty metal of the rack.
