A weathered wooden balcony railing in Casablanca anchors the composition, lit by the harsh, mixed glow of sodium streetlights and neon signs from the busy Medina below. Resting directly on the painted wood is a simple, translucent plastic toothbrush holder, its surface catching the harsh artificial light and casting a sharp, dark shadow against the grain. Inside the holder, two toothbrushes stand upright, their bristles slightly splayed and worn, hinting at daily use by the residents of the adjacent apartment.
