Plastic Molds Clamping Shut Under Ringed Planet
Tungsten window light spills across damp concrete floors inside a Villahermosa plastics factory, illuminating heavy injection molds locked in a clamped position. Steam rises in thin, visible ribbons from the heated machinery, mingling with the cool air of the pre-dawn hours. The industrial space stretches into the distance, defined by rows of steel presses and metal conduits that guide the eye forward. Outside the high windows, a massive planet with distinct rings hangs low on the horizon, casting a pale, alien glow that competes with the warm artificial light. The concrete floor reflects the vapor and the strange celestial body, while the texture of the hardened rubber seals on the molds remains sharp and legible against the steel frames. A faint sheen of moisture coats the metal surfaces near the base of the nearest press.
