Pigeons Foraging in Lyon

Sunlight strikes the cream stone facade of a Lyon traboule entrance, illuminating a cluster of white pigeons foraging on the worn granite pavement. A weathered wooden door mat lies askew near the threshold, partially obscured by the birds' fluttering wings. Through the open doorway, the dim interior reveals a glimpse of a kitchen counter where a glass pitcher catches a stray beam of light, against the shadowed depth of the alley. The casual intersection of urban wildlife and residential life, with the texture of the aged stone providing a sturdy backdrop to the fleeting movement of the birds and the stillness of the domestic objects within.
