Persimmons just after sunrise in Tokyo

A cluster of ripe persimmons rests on a weathered wooden windowsill inside a Tokyo machiya, catching the soft, low-angle light of early morning. The vibrant orange skin of the fruit contrasts sharply with the muted, grayish tones of the aged timber and the translucent shoji screen in the background. Dappled shadows from nearby maple leaves dance across the smooth surface of the persimmons, adding texture and depth to the still life arrangement. One fallen leaf lies beside the fruit, its veins clearly visible against the dark wood grain.
