Humid air rests on the wet pavement, reflecting the glow of distant streetlamps against the damp wall. The posters, printed with Japanese characters and faded campaign slogans, curl at the edges where winter rain has softened the adhesive. A person stands in the foreground, their dark silhouette blocking part of the view, framing the scene through their shoulder. The brickwork shows layers of gray mortar and soot, against the bright, artificial light that begins to dominate the winter dusk. One corner of a poster hangs loose, caught in the humid air.
