Paraglider Over Kathmandu Valley Winter Twilight

Steel-blue ambient light fills the humid air as a paraglider drifts above the green valley floor near a roadside stop in Kathmandu. The canopy stretches wide against the darkening sky, its fabric taut and textured under the low winter sun. Below, the valley floor glows with the first scattered points of city light, contrasting the deep green of the fields. The pilot hangs suspended in disciplined concentration, silhouetted against the fading daylight. Distant hills rise in layers of shadow, while the wet roadside pavement reflects the soft glow of street lamps nearby. One reflection of the wingtip shimmers on the damp asphalt edge.
