Paper Arrows and Umbrella Drips in Gabiadji Dawn

Cool mist hangs low beneath the harsh white floodlights of a government building in Gabiadji, illuminating a concrete floor scattered with discarded paper arrows and wet umbrella drips. The dry season air leaves the ground dust-free except for the recent rain marks. Faint shadows stretch across the pavement as the first hint of sunrise softens the harsh artificial glow. Each paper arrow lies flat or slightly curled, pointing in random directions amidst the dark, glistening puddles left by umbrellas. The concrete texture is rough and gray, against the smooth, reflective water surfaces. One paper arrow rests near a puddle, its edge catching the pale morning light.
