Old Maps Pinned on Board at Tampere Fair
Cool blue light from a window before sunrise spills across a wooden counter near Tampere. Old maps and prints hang from a rough board, their sepia tones faded by time. The paper edges curl slightly where they rest against the grain of the wood. Deep, warm shadows pool beneath the stack of prints, against the pale morning glow filtering through the glass. One brass thumbtack pierces the corner of a large chart, holding it firmly in place. The arrangement appears deliberate, with creases catching the faintest highlights along the brittle surfaces. A second pin secures a smaller sheet at the edge of the display.
