Early morning light washes over a busy New York City sidewalk, illuminating the textured brick facade of a classic brownstone building. A street musician sits on a folding stool, holding a large accordion, his fingers positioned on the keys as he plays for passersby. Pedestrians in coats walk past, some glancing toward the performer, others focused on their destinations. The street is lined with parked cars and a yellow taxi cab is visible further down the road. A metal trash can stands near the curb, and a fire hydrant is painted red. The daily rhythm of the city as the sun begins to rise, casting long shadows across the pavement.
