A bustling New York City intersection at dusk shows the transition from day to night as streetlamps and building windows begin to glow against a deepening blue sky. A bright yellow taxi cab moves through the frame, its headlights reflecting off the wet asphalt of the crosswalk. Pedestrians in winter coats hurry past a bodega entrance, their faces illuminated by the warm interior light spilling onto the sidewalk. Above, brick buildings rise with fire escapes casting long shadows, while distant skyscrapers start to twinkle with office lights.
