Motocross Rider Skids Canal Edge Bauchi

Copper-toned light washes over a motocross rider leaning the bike sideways while scrubbing a jump beside a narrow canal in Bauchi. The rear wheel lifts slightly, kicking up a fine spray of dust and debris that hangs in the air. Green and brown leaves skitter across the dry earth nearby, caught in sudden gusts of wind. The rider wears a helmet and dark protective gear that absorbs the fading sunlight. Behind the action, the canal water reflects the deep orange sky, bordered by rough concrete banks. Shadows stretch long across the ground, marking the turn of the season. The bike's suspension compresses under the rider's weight, and the rear tire grips the loose soil before releasing into the air. One clump of dry grass lies flattened against the bank near the water's edge.
