Honey-colored light from a high window spills across a steel sorting belt, illuminating a single red plastic missort tote resting in the pause before paperwork accumulates. The tote sits in the left third of the frame, its smooth surface catching soft reflections from the nearby metal rails. Early winter air is suggested by the bare, stark look of the warehouse interior and the cool tone of the concrete floor. Copper-toned shadows stretch across the belt mechanism, highlighting the utilitarian texture of the plastic and the industrial grit of the Galata facility. No decorative elements exist here, only the functional geometry of the rack and the waiting queue of empty space beside the tote. A faint reflection of the tote's rim glides along the polished steel edge of the conveyor.
