Milk Tea in Kathmandu

Early morning light spills over the red brick facade of a narrow tea stall in Thamel, catching the steam rising from a large aluminum kettle. A tea seller in a faded blue shirt pours hot milk tea into a small glass, his hands moving with practiced speed. Beside him, a customer waits, holding a thermos, while a wooden stool sits empty nearby. The scene is grounded by the rough texture of the brick wall and the gleam of the metal utensils. A few iris blossoms in a small clay pot on the counter add a splash of purple against the earthy tones.
