Sodium yellow light floods the concrete floor of a Utrecht cross-dock lane, illuminating a steel load bar storage rack standing empty and ready. Blue scanner beacons cast sharp, cool beams that cut through the thick, swirling dust suspended in the cold winter air. The metal surfaces of the rack reflect the dual tones of the industrial lighting, creating a stark contrast against the dark, receding background of the warehouse. Layers of depth pull toward the far end of the lane where shadows deepen. No vehicles are present, leaving the handling systems clear. A faint reflection of a blue beacon dances on the polished lower bar of the rack.
