Midnight Guitarist Beside Chengdu Canal Mist

Warm string lights drape overhead, casting a soft amber glow against the thick, grey mist hanging low over the canal in People's Park, Chengdu. A street musician sits on a simple wooden stool, fingers pressing firmly against the fretboard of an acoustic guitar. The performer wears a dark jacket and a cap, their posture rigid with focused intent. Bare branches of autumn trees line the far bank, their leaves turning yellow and brown, visible through the swirling fog. The water reflects the scattered lights as distorted, shimmering streaks. In the immediate foreground, out-of-focus leaves create a soft, blurred frame around the sharp figure. One, sharp shadow falls across the musician's boot.
