Man Working just after sunrise in Fez

Just after sunrise, the low angle of light strikes a row of stacked terracotta bowls resting on a low stone ledge in a Fez workshop courtyard. Beside them, a dented metal bucket reflects the pale blue sky, its surface marked by years of use. A man in a white djellaba stands nearby, handling a coil of wire, his movements steady and practiced. The walls around him are plastered in warm ochre tones, showing the texture of local lime and sand. Small details like a wooden peg rail mounted on the wall and a scattered deck of cards on a nearby table suggest a pause in work.
