Madrid Metro Train Emerging Into Bright Midmorning Daylight

A heavy steel metro train pushes out of the dark concrete tunnel mouth, its headlights cutting through the bright midmorning sun that floods the platform. The metallic sides of the carriage reflect the harsh white light, creating sharp glares on the doors and windows. Passengers stand near the edge of the tiled platform, waiting as the train slows to a halt. The station walls are clad in blue and white ceramic tiles typical of the city's transit system. Above, the open sky is a clear, pale blue, against the shadowed interior of the tunnel. The mechanical movement and urban infrastructure of Madrid's public transport network in natural daylight.
