Low Angle Trench Line Under Camouflage Net

Churned mud fills the foreground of a field exercise trench, its dark, wet texture against the golden glow of firelight reflecting off the uneven surface. Above, a heavy camouflage net hangs in loose folds, casting complex shadows across the dug-out earth. The overcast sky above is pierced by the warm, honeyed light of early evening, illuminating the rough edges of the trench walls where soil has been recently displaced. Small puddles catch the firelight, creating pools of amber amidst the gray-brown mud. A soldier's boot print presses deeply into the soft ground near the center, anchoring the scene in operational readiness. The netting fabric frays slightly at the edges where it meets the dirt.
