The first light of dawn breaks over the St. Lawrence River, casting a soft blue hue across the stone quays of Quebec City. The silhouette of the Chateau Frontenac rises against the pale sky, its turrets sharp against the morning mist. A few early morning joggers move along the promenade, their figures small against the massive fortifications. The cobblestones glisten with dew, reflecting the faint glow of streetlamps that are just turning off. In the distance, the modern skyline of the city contrasts with the historic walls, creating a layered urban landscape.
