Distant town lights blur into a soft orange horizon behind a sprawling outdoor workshop where a massive processional float rests on a concrete surface. Early autumn air hangs clear over the structure, revealing its wooden framework and draped fabrics in muted earth tones. Tools and rolls of ribbon lie scattered across the ground beside the float's towering side panel. A few figures stand in silhouette near the base, their movements slow and deliberate as they adjust the rigging. The cool blue of twilight dominates the sky, against the warm artificial glow from nearby streetlamps that spills across the scene.
