Leather Valise Map Case Rain Streaked Window

Rain streaks slide vertically down a glass pane, distorting the pale walls behind a leather valise resting on a wooden pier railing. The valise holds a map case secured with canvas straps and brass buckles that catch the soft, indirect light bouncing off the interior surfaces. Lamplight settles into the corners of the room, creating deep shadows that highlight the worn texture of the leather and the grain of the wood. Water droplets rest on the metal fixtures, reflecting a faint, warm glow against the cool gray of the wet glass. The brass hardware gleams alongside the dark, aged leather, while a single raindrop rests on the edge of the brass latch. The wooden railing shows water saturation along its length, against the dry canvas straps resting against the leather.
