Honey-colored afternoon light spills across a wrought-iron bed frame resting on a porch floor. A red rubber hot water bottle sits at the foot of the bed, its surface smooth and slightly glossy against the dark, curved metal bars. Condensation beads along the nearby glass pane, blurring the view of the bare winter branches outside. The cold season is evident in the heavy, still air trapped within the glass enclosure. A wooden rocking chair stands just beyond the bed, its slats catching the low sun. The light warms the rubber bottle, creating a soft highlight that contrasts with the cool gray tones of the iron and the frosty glass edge.
