Tropical late-afternoon light cuts through a thin layer of fog hovering over the dusty ground in Bangui's old quarter. A horse and rider surge toward the right edge of the frame, hooves just clearing a low wooden obstacle. The rider leans forward in a posture of joyful exertion, wearing simple attire that blends with the earthy tones of the setting. Sunlight highlights the dust kicked up by the horse's movement, creating a soft halo around the animal's legs. Weathered brick walls and corrugated metal roofs line the background, their textures softened by the atmospheric haze. The vibrant energy of the moment is captured in the taut muscles of the horse and the focused expression of the rider.
