Helicopter on Winter Causeway Near Harbor

Bright open daylight floods the marsh causeway where a helicopter rests diagonally across the frame, its fuselage speckled with patches of drying mud and thin frost. Early spring air hangs heavy and humid after recent rain, softening the edges of the distant fogbound harbor mouth near Ismailia. The aircraft's rotors stand still, casting sharp shadows that stretch across the wet, muddy ground. Dew rests on the metal skin, catching the sun in tiny, scattered glints. Beyond the vehicle, the gray water merges with the low sky, while the causeway cuts a jagged line through the flat landscape. One droplet rolls down the landing skid, leaving a dark trail on the painted surface.
