Low-hanging gray clouds press against a backdrop of bare, jagged tree tops near Shimla. A weathered hand grips the brass cylinder of a prayer wheel, fingers calloused and stained with age. The metal surface catches the horizontal glow of the setting sun, creating a sharp line of gold along the rim. Snow dusts the wooden railing beside the hand, against the dark, polished wood of the prayer wall. The horizon light wraps around the fingers, highlighting the texture of skin and the cold, metallic sheen of the spinning object. Shadows stretch long across the stone ledge, defining the curve of the wheel against the darkening sky. One fleck of snow rests on the brass edge.
