The sun dips low over the Atlantic horizon, casting long amber shadows across the wooden planks of the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk. A red and white streetcar climbs the steep grade of the nearby hill, its wheels clacking against the tracks as commuters wait on the platform. Pedestrians in heavy coats walk past the harbor, their breath visible in the cooling air. In the background, the distinctive stone arches of the waterfront infrastructure stand out against the twilight sky.
