Three golden-brown gulab jamun spheres rest heavily in a shallow pool of translucent amber syrup on a cool, white marble surface. The syrup coats the fried dough, creating a glossy sheen that catches the soft, diffused light filtering through sheer curtains. Subtle reflections of the sweets shimmer on the polished stone beside the plate. Delicate steam rises faintly from the warm center, visible against the crisp early winter air. The marble shows faint grey veining beneath the wet glaze of the sugar. A small pool of liquid spreads slightly at the edge of the ceramic dish, mirroring the overhead light source.
