Grey Bun Ballerina Portrait in Puebla Mist

Broad skylight pours through monsoon mist into a Puebla room, illuminating the sharp bone structure of a retired ballerina. Her grey hair sweeps back into a tight, elegant bun against the damp air. Foreground bokeh blurs green foliage and wet leaves beside a nearby window. Shadows fall gently across her collarbone, softening the edges of her face under diffuse light. Condensation gathers on a leaf in the blurred foreground, while the subject sits with quiet dignity. Her skin shows the texture of years under the heavy haze that hangs from the ceiling.
