Golden Hour on Chips in Edinburgh

A baker in a flour-dusted apron leans against the glossy enamel counter of a traditional Edinburgh chippy, the warm golden hour light spilling through the window to catch the steam rising from a tray of hot haddock and chips. Behind him, stacks of brown paper bags and a row of glass bottles for vinegar sit in sharp focus against the dark interior, while outside, the wet cobblestones of the Royal Mile reflect the amber sky. A customer waits patiently, their breath visible in the cool evening air, as the baker slides a paper cone across the counter, the interaction framed by the contrast between the bright, clean kitchen surfaces and the gritty, historic stone street beyond.
