Gold Pagoda Spire in Gyeongju Mosque Dawn

A gilded pagoda spire rises from the center of a stone prayer hall, its sharp angles catching the pale, horizontal beams of early winter dawn. Thin threads of incense smoke drift through the cool air, softening the light as it strikes the metal surface. The gold leaf glows with a muted, warm intensity against the deep shadows pooling in the corners where small oil lamps cast steady, amber pools. Rough-hewn stone walls surround the structure, their gray surfaces textured with age and soot. Dust motes hang suspended in the shafts of light, creating a visible haze that separates the bright spire from the dimming room. At the base, a single shadow stretches across the floor, defining the edge of the structure against the dark tiles.
