Giant Wax Tray in Fukuoka Beauty Room

Blue hour shadows stretch across a stainless steel facial extraction loop tray that has grown to the size of a small dining table. The chrome surface reflects dim interior lamps and the cool twilight filtering through a window in the Fukuoka treatment room. Tiny pools of hardened wax residue rest on the metal ridges like frozen lakes, while a crumpled paper towel and a sheet of acrylic lie beside the massive curve as if placed by a giant hand. Towel fibers are visible as thick, rope-like strands against the polished metal. Lamplight settles into the corners of the room, casting soft glows on the floor. one drop of wax on the tray's edge catches the light, revealing its rough, amber texture against the smooth, scaled steel.
