A Giant Schnauzer stands at eye level against a plain, sun-bleached courtyard wall in Masvingo during the late afternoon. The wide 20mm lens shows the dog's intense gaze and the coarse, salt-and-pepper texture of its wiry coat. Hard sunlight casts sharp shadows across the black muzzle and highlights the set of the ears. A sliver of cracked earth appears in the immediate foreground at the base of the animal, where a small patch of dry grass tufts near the paws. The neutral wall provides negative space around the subject, showing the deep lines around the eyes and the grounded stillness of the pose.
