Garbage Bin in Toronto

Just after sunrise, the low-angle light catches a Toronto street corner where ivy vines climb the red brick facade of a row house, their green leaves against the grey concrete sidewalk. A yellow City of Toronto garbage bin stands slightly ajar, revealing a glimpse of a blue recycling bag inside, while a discarded file box lies on its side near the curb, its white surface marked with faint hairline scratches and faded shipping labels. Scattered flower petals from a nearby maple tree drift across the wet pavement, catching the soft morning glow. A rusted raspberry can rests against the base of the bin, its metal surface dull under the overcast sky.
