Warm afternoon light falls through sheer curtains, casting soft amber shadows across a retail counter inside a Wuhan museum gift shop. A circular spinner rack stands centered in perfect symmetry, displaying postcards with traditional Chinese architecture. Dozens of rectangular cards float suspended in midair around the display, frozen in their descent as if time has halted. The cards hover at various heights, some tilted slightly, others flat against the light. Shadows from the floating objects stretch sharply onto the wooden counter below. Behind the rack, a closed metal shutter reflects the golden hour glow. The scene balances mundane retail calm with the impossible stillness of falling merchandise.
