Harsh fluorescent tubes cast flat, cool light across a concrete aisle in a Tianjin warehouse. A wooden dispute board rests on a metal cart, its surface covered in handwritten Chinese characters and red ink corrections. Faint frost patterns rest on the high windows along the far wall, marking the early winter air. The board sits at the edge of sorting ramps, separated from automated machinery by heavy-duty safety barriers. Deep shadows pool in the corners where the artificial glow fails to reach. Stacks of blue plastic crates line the background, their surfaces dull and dusty. One red marker lies on the floor near the cart's wheel. The concrete floor shows grease stains and scuff marks from decades of heavy traffic.
