Early morning light spills across a narrow Hyderabad lane, illuminating a vendor’s stainless steel cart where a woman in a bright yellow cotton saree folds a white cloth apron over a stack of mixing bowls. The scene is alive with the texture of daily commerce: a brass hose nozzle rests against a chipped turquoise shutter, its paint peeling in curling strips to reveal grey primer beneath. Wicker shadows from a nearby basket stretch sharply across the plaster wall, against the smooth, wet sheen of the street. One sprig of rosemary sits forgotten on a wooden crate, adding a touch of organic green to the metallic and earthy palette.
