Bright midmorning sunlight pierces a thin layer of early spring fog along a switchback approach near Southampton. A bicycle rests against the stone railing, its front basket overflowing with fresh wildflowers that contrast with the cool, damp air. The bridge surface shows weathered textures, while the road curves sharply into the mist, creating strong leading lines that guide the gaze toward the hazy distance. The light is sharp and tropical in intensity despite the chill, highlighting the dew on the petals and the metal frame. Soft shadows stretch across the pavement, and the fog blurs the background into a pale, indistinct wash of gray and green. One wet leaf rests on the lower tire tread.
