Fishing Boat Returning Through Crashing Surf at Nautical Dawn in Lima Peru

A weathered wooden fishing boat cuts through the churning white surf of the Pacific Ocean just off the coast of Lima, Peru, as the first light of nautical dawn breaks. The sky holds a deep, bruised blue gradient above the horizon, against the grey foam of the waves. On the deck, a fisherman in a heavy rubber suit handles a net, his movements blurred by the motion of the vessel. The rough texture of the wet wood and the spray of salt water are clearly visible against the darkening sea.
