Amber dispatch screen glow washes over the concrete floor of a fulfillment packing station in Hochelaga, Montreal, as the last blue light of evening falls through high windows. Several industrial lift trucks stand idle in the charging zone, their dark metal bodies reflecting the soft interior illumination. Thick, heavy cables snake across the ground in loose coils, connecting the vehicles to charging stations. The monsoon season is evident in the wet sheen on the exterior glass and the muted gray light outside, against the warm tones inside. Metal surfaces show signs of wear and grease, while overhead lights cast long, still shadows that stretch across the vast, open space. One cable lies coiled neatly beside a tire.
