Entrance Vestibule in Stockholm

A narrow vestibule in a Stockholm apartment building catches the flat, gray winter light filtering through a high transom window. The space is defined by peeling white paint on the walls and a worn oak doorframe leading to the stairwell. A heavy wool coat hangs from a rusted iron coat hook, its collar dusted with fine snowflakes. Beside it, a simple wooden coat brush stands ready, bristles facing outward. The floor is tiled in dark, non-slip ceramic, slick with melting ice. In the corner, a metal coal scuttle sits unused, a relic of older heating methods, against the modern digital intercom panel mounted nearby.
