Tightly framed piles of spiky green durians and fuzzy red rambutans rest on rough wooden crates beneath a corrugated market canopy. Soft overcast light falls through the roof, illuminating steam and cooking smoke that drifts lazily through the aisles. The fruit textures appear sharp against the muted background of the Jinan market stall. Above the canopy, the sky splits unnaturally: the left side shows a pale autumn day while the right side abruptly transitions to a deep star-filled night. The impossible horizon line cuts cleanly across the top of the frame, contrasting the organic chaos of the produce below with the celestial division above. One durian husk lies on its side, its brown fibers catching the diffuse glow.
